Literary event on november 4th

We are so proud to be a part of the Book Tour of the three great authors Silvio Sirias, Ken Morris and Joe Frazier.

We will host our event in La Olla Quemada in León on Tuesday november 4th at 18.00. It will be a very exciting mixture of book presentations, politics, history and conversations. This is the second literary event we host as a bookstore; our first was with Silvio Sirias, and we are very happy to welcome him back to León!

Silvio Sirias will present his fantastic new book; The Saint of Santa Fe. The Nica-American´s latest novel is a fictionalised account of the kidnapping and murder of Father Héctor Gallego during Omar Torrijos´rule in Panama.

Joseph Frazier will discuss his book, El Salvador Could Be Like That - a memoir about being an Associated Press reporter in the region in the 1980´s. His experiences with the Sandinista government during those years brings some levity to what is often a very heavy tale.

Kenneth Morris will discuss his recent biography of Daniel Ortega; Unfinished Revolution. His book is the single most thorough examination of Nicaragua´s controversial President.

As you can see this event will be a wonderful variety of authors and topics, and I expect there to be very interesting discussions and conversations.

The event will be in english, as all authors write in english, however we do encourage spanish speakers to join also, as questions can be asked in spanish. It will be possible to purchase all the books presented, in addition to several of Silvio Sirias´s previous novels.

If you can´t make it to our event in León, you will get the chance in Granada on Sunday nov. 2nd, hosted by Lucha Libro. Or in San Juan del Sur on Saturday nov. 1st, hosted by Gato Negro.

Hope to see you there!
